Project: Type Design
Northeastern University, 2013
Typeface designed for Typography 3 at Northeastern University. The typeface was inspired by the Museum of Fine Arts Houston as a more expressive type choice than the current one used in collateral. I tried to capture the city of Houston itself in the typeface looking at 19th century wood type and contemporary European typefaces. Looking at the two different styles for inspiration, the typeface captures the cities quirky art and metropolitan art scene. The typeface is named after the street that the museum is located.
